Dear Friends, Actors, Actresses, pianist, musicians, choreographers, stage managers, lighting, sound, costumers, etc.

IT has been a long couple of months trying to figure out and come to an agreement as to put on a Fall show or not. As you have probably heard, we had secured the rights to "Annie", celebrating 10 years since our last production.

WE know that a lot of you are eager to get back on stage again, and we can't disagree with you. The passion and commitment that we all have for the theater cannot be denied. We know that it is a highlight of our year working with such talented and creative people. We have gotten to know you like you are family, having some of you since you were seven and now have children of your own, off to college or appearing on many local stages.

AFTER much consideration, respect, and for the safety of others, we will follow the request of our venue owners (Eagle Hill School) and will step down from the stage along with all of the other contracted Fall shows and let caution prevail. In our hearts we know that this is the right thing to do. We MAY be able to do a Spring show, but must follow updated information and direction.

PLEASE be safe and look forward to many more productions in the future. Don't give up your dreams, just put them on pause...we will get through this and the next time we see you will be at a well warranted audition. Miss you already!!!  — Linda and John

Please feel free to pass this along to other Gilbert Players.
